Tennis Leagues of
RAINED OUT in Central
Park Tennis Courts!
A lot of tennis players (photo above) were rained out
Friday late afternoon, June 3, 2005 in Central Park.
Steady downpour of rain soaked all the clay courts in Central
Park Tennis Center. As of 11am the following day,
Saturday, June 4, 2005 all the clay courts in Central Park are
still closed and not playable. Some league members are
going to the hard courts in Edgewater this weekend to play.
They will take the NY Waterway Ferry and will be picked up
from the ferry terminal by the League Director, Koko Lani.
JF Marmonier from Lyon, France (photo above)
did an hour of tennis drills/game evaluation in
Edgewater last Thursday night, June 2, 2005. JF
has great technique on both sides and likes to hit the
ball hard from the baseline. He works full time in
Finance and just moved to NYC about 3 weeks ago from
London where he worked for a few years. He has been
playing tennis since he was 10 years old. "I
just quit smoking 4 months ago," he confides.
"But then I gained 15 pounds, because your body
compensates. I want to stay active to lose weight and
stay healthy." WELCOME TO THE TENNISNYC.COM
TENNIS LEAGUE, JF!!! Doesn't he look like Fabrice
Santoro, the French PRO?
